There’s plenty of annual “fun runs” and “charity marathons” but there’s nothing quite like “The Sumo Run”.
Held in London each year, “The Sumo Run” is a 5km charity run…dressed in a sumo suit. Now given the suits are only the inflatable/costume type and not fully padded versions of the suit, we still think it wouldn’t be an easy feat!
2013’s effort broke the world record for the largest gathering of people in sumo suits! Haha.
An entrance fee and any fund raising efforts by participants goes towards an organised named “Link” which help improve the quality of education for children in sub-Saharan Africa.
